ANYQUICKMOVE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: [24th August 2024]

1. Vehicle Capacity and Weight Compliance

1.1 Assurance of Delivery Capacity

At AnyQuickMove, we guarantee that we will transport any load that fits within our vehicles, adhering to the following volume/weight allowances:

  • 13m³/1200kg

  • 20m³/1000kg

  • 38m³/3000kg

  • 50m³/6000kg

  • 53m³/8000kg

  • 53m³/10000kg

  • 84m³/24000kg
The limit is determined by either volume or weight, whichever is reached first, to ensure the job is completed safely and efficiently.

1.2 Customer Responsibility for Weight Estimation

In accordance with our legal obligations, we must accurately document the weight of the load being transported by our drivers. We strongly recommend that customers use reliable weighing scales to accurately estimate the weight of their items. While we can offer guidance, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that your items do not exceed the vehicle's capacity. Should the driver identify a discrepancy between the weight/load recorded on the weight confirmation tool provided to you 5 days prior to the scheduled move and the actual load, the driver reserves the right to halt further loading. This measure ensures compliance with "1.1 Assurance of Delivery Capacity" and prevents surpassing the weight/volume threshold. The driver is also authorized to request that certain items be weighed on scales provided by the client, if deemed necessary, to ensure the integrity and safety of the entire load being transported.

To avoid any disruptions to your move, we recommend purchasing a reliable set of scales, such as those linked below.

Professional Scales up to 50kg

1.3 Right to Weigh Vehicle

We reserve the right to weigh the vehicle at the nearest registered weighbridge from the collection point. The gross vehicle weight must not exceed:

  • 3500kg

  • 7500kg

  • 12000kg

  • 18000kg

  • 24000kg

  • 40000kg

  • This will be dependant on the vehicle type used.

1.4 Mandatory Inventory Submission

All customers are required to provide an inventory sheet detailing the load to be transported at least 5 days before the job begins. This is a mandatory legal requirement and will be issued to you electronically where it can be completed online.

1.5 Packaging Requirements

All packing boxes must be of industry-standard size and strength and should not exceed 20kg per box.

1.6 Empty Furniture Policy

Our quotes are based on the assumption that all furniture items are empty, as required by customs and law enforcement regulations.

2. Loading, Unloading, and Liability

2.1 Driver Responsibilities and Loading Practices

Our quoted service includes one professional driver who will load and unload the vehicle following best practices. This includes evenly distributing weight and securing the load to ensure safe delivery.   Under no circumstances will we provide a porter to assist with your move.  Due to the distances involved and the number of countries we cover, it is not possible.  Any deviations from the initial booking details must be communicated within 24 hours of deposit payment to avoid additional charges. The customer must provide all relevant access information (e.g., ensuring the vehicle is within 10 meters of the entrance).

2.2 Liability for Damages

AnyQuickMove is not liable for any damages resulting from off-loading, reloading, transhipping at the customer’s request, or due to vehicle overload.

2.3 Delays Beyond Our Control

We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, major traffic delays, accidents, customs checks, or customer-related delays. If such delays occur, we will contact you immediately and aim to reschedule collection or delivery as soon as possible.

2.4 Parking Availability

The customer is responsible for ensuring that parking is available at all collection and delivery points. If a permit is required to park within 10 meters of the collection/delivery address, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange it.

2.5 Parking Charges

Any parking costs incurred during loading/unloading or while the driver is waiting will be charged to the customer.

2.6 Payment and Cancellation Policy

To protect both parties, all communications regarding payments and cancellations must be conducted in writing and recorded via email. If the final payment is not received 4 days before the collection date, the customer forfeits the right to cancel, and the deposit will be non-refundable. An invoice for the final payment will be issued 5 days prior to the collection date. Cancellations must be communicated and confirmed via email at least 6 days before the scheduled start date. For jobs booked within 5 days of the scheduled date, full payment is required upfront and is non-refundable.

2.7 Vehicle Searches by Authorities

In the event that our vehicles are searched by law enforcement or government authorities, including customs officers, AnyQuickMove is not responsible for any damages incurred during the search. We will request an inspection stamp with the date as proof of the search.

3. Additional Costs and Customer Responsibilities

3.1 Time Allocation for Loading and Unloading

Our drivers are allocated an average of 3 hours for loading and 1 hour for unloading, providing a total of 4 hours for both collection and delivery for 3.5 Tonne vehicles.  For vehicles exceeding this size, we allow up to 4 hours for loading and unloading for a total of 8 hours.  Should the loading or unloading process exceed this 4-hour or 8-hour respectively timeframe, an additional fee of €150 plus VAT per hour will apply. To ensure a smooth operation, please make sure that legal parking and adequate assistance are available at both locations. Please note, our drivers are only responsible for organizing the load within the vehicle. Any additional assistance provided by the driver is outside the scope of our terms and conditions, and AnyQuickMove will not be liable for any incidents that may arise from such assistance.

3.2 Charges for Delayed Vehicles

All deliveries are direct from the point of collection, with no allowance for additional time included in the quoted price. If the customer requests a delay in the vehicle's schedule, if customs paperwork is inaccurate or incomplete, or if the customer or their representative is not present at the agreed time or refuses to load or unload the vehicle, an idle time charge of €294 plus VAT per vehicle per day will apply. This charge is capped at a maximum of 48 hours, resulting in a total fee of €598 plus VAT for the 48-hour period. Full payment of any such charges must be made before delivery or unloading can proceed.

3.3 Subcontracting the Work

We reserve the right to subcontract some or all of the work for which we have provided a quotation, without prior notification to you, particularly in situations where unforeseen circumstances necessitate alternative arrangements. Our company policy and standards will remain in effect, ensuring that the Terms and Conditions of AnyQuickMove will continue to apply in full.

3.4 Customs and Taxes

AnyQuickMove is not responsible for any taxes required by customs for the transportation of your goods. The customer is responsible for paying these taxes. Delays caused by incorrect paperwork will incur additional charges as specified above in 3.2.

3.5 Retention of Goods for Unpaid Charges

AnyQuickMove reserves the right to retain the customer's goods until all outstanding charges have been paid in full.

3.6 Delivery to Alternate Addresses

If instructed to deliver to a location other than the customer’s specified address (e.g., a neighbor, friend, or colleague), AnyQuickMove is not responsible for the items once the vehicle has left the alternate property.

3.7 Communication Responsibility

AnyQuickMove cannot be held responsible if our emails are not received by the customer due to spam or junk filters.

4. Vehicle Issues

4.1 Vehicle Breakdown or Delay

In the event of a vehicle breakdown or delay, AnyQuickMove will do its best to provide a replacement vehicle as soon as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that the replacement vehicle will have the same specifications. If the backup vehicle cannot accommodate the entire load, the remaining items will be transported on the next available vehicle within 7 days.

5. Insurance for Domestic and International Removals

5.1 Total Loss Cover

AnyQuickMove provides Total Loss cover for both domestic and international removals. This limited liability cover applies if your entire consignment is lost or damaged due to a major incident. Additional insurance options are available for further protection (see our Insurance Page).

5.2 Customer Responsibility for Packaging

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all items, such as mattresses, sofas, furniture, white goods, and pictures etc, (this list is not exhaustive), are properly wrapped before collection. Please refer to our detailed guides for proper packaging methods. TVs must be in their original boxes or suitable packaging with protective padding.

5.3 Impact of Improper Packaging on Loading

Improperly prepared items may affect the loading process, so it is essential that all items are correctly wrapped to prevent delays and potential damage.

6. Reputational Protection

6.1 Online and Verbal Comments

Any negative or derogatory comments made online or verbally without foundation or that are not proven in a court of law may be deemed harmful to our business reputation. We reserve the right to seek compensation for such actions.  PLease refer to our Complaints Procedure in the first instance.

7. Customs and Documentation

7.1 Prohibited and Restricted Goods

Please refer to our policy on prohibited and restricted goods on the Prohibited and Restricted items page. Ensure compliance with the banned and restricted goods lists for both the country of export and import.  Compliance rests solely with the customer and AnyQuickMove cannot be held liable for any misrepresentation.

7.2 Customs Clearance Responsibilities

AnyQuickMove is not a customs clearance agent and cannot be held responsible for incorrect or delayed paperwork presented to customs on your behalf.

7.3 Advance Payment of Duties

If our vehicles are at risk of delay due to incorrect paperwork, AnyQuickMove may pay the VAT/IVA/Duty on your behalf and reclaim it from you before delivery. We will provide evidence of the amount paid via an invoice or receipt from the customs clearance agent.

8. Agreement to Terms

By accepting our quotation, and paying the deposit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
